lit., "in honor" (en, "in," time, "honor:" see Honor , A, No. 1), is used of the centurion's servant in Luke 7:2 , "dear" (Rv marg., "precious ... or honorable"); of self-sacrificing servants of the Lord, said of Epaphroditus, Philippians 2:29 , Rv "(hold such) in honor" (Av, "in reputation;" marg., "honor such"); of Christ, as a precious stone, 1 Peter 2:4,6 (Rv marg., "honorable").
