( Σαλώμ ), a Greek form in the Apocrypha, (a) incorrectly ( 1 Maccabees 2:26), for SALU (See Salu) (q.v.), the father of Zimri ( Numbers 25:14);

(b) less correctly ( Baruch 1:7), for SHALLUM (See Shallum) (q.v.), the father of Hilkiah ( 1 Chronicles 6:13).

(1) The father of Helkias ( Baruch 1:7 ). Greek form of "Shallum."

(2) the King James Version = the Revised Version (British and American) "Salu" ( 1 Maccabees 2:26 ).
