From BiblePortal Wikipedia

Vayu [1]

(Sanscrit va, "blow"), in Hindu mythology, a deity which originally held an equal rank with Indra, but which much more rarely occupies the imagination of the poets than Indra or Agni. See Muir, Contributions to a Knowledge of the Vedic Theogony and in Mythology, in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, 1864.
