(Heb. Makbena', מִכְבֵּנָא , something Bound on, perh. a Cloak; Sept. Μαχαβηνά v. r. Μαχαμηνά ; Vulg. Maochbena ) , apparently a place in the tribe of Judah founded by (a person of that name, the son of) Sheva ( 1 Chronicles 2:49), and probably situated in the vicinity of Gibeah, in connection with which it is mentioned. It is thought to have been the same with Cabbon ( Joshua 15:40).
