Hesychius

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [1]
an Egyptian bishop of the 3rd century, who is mentioned by Eusebius (Hist. Eccles. 8, 13) as a reviser of the text of the Septuagint (see also Jerome, De vir. illust. 77). He also published an edition of the New Testament, of which Jerome does not appear to have formed a favorable opinion. He obtained the crown of martyrdom in the Dioclesian persecution about A.D. 311.
