[some Elza'bad] (Heb. Elzabad', אֶלְוָכָד , whom God Has Bestowed, i.e., Theodore; Sept. Ε᾿Λεζαβάδ and Ε᾿Λζαβάδ , v.r. ῾Ελιεζέρ and Ε᾿Λζαβάθ ), the name of two men.
1. The ninth of the eleven Gadite heroes who joined David in his fastness in the wilderness of Judah ( 1 Chronicles 12:12) B.C. 1061.
2. One of the able-bodied sons of Shemaiah, the son of Obed-edom the Levite; he served as a porter to the "house of Jehovah" under David ( 1 Chronicles 26:7). B.C. 1014.
