"bright" (from phos, "light"), is said of a cloud, Matthew 17:5; metaphorically of the body, Matthew 6:22 , "full of light;" Luke 11:34,36 . See Light.
"shining, brilliant, bright," is used of the clothing of an angel, Acts 10:30; Revelation 15:6; symbolically, of the clothing of the saints in glory, Revelation 19:8 , Rv, in the best texts (Av, "white"); of Christ as the Morning Star, Revelation 22:16; of the water of life, Revelation 22:1 , Av, "clear." "a shining forth" (apo, "from," auge, "brightness"), of a light coming from a luminous body, is said of Christ in Hebrews 1:3 , Av, "brightness," Rv, "effulgence," i.e., shining forth (a more probable meaning than reflected brightness).
