occurs only in 1 Kings 7:32-33, as a translation of יָד , Yad, Hand, in the phrase יְדוֹת הָאוֹפִנִּים , Yedoth' Ha-Ophannim', Hands Of The Wheels, i.e. their axle-trees, as in the Auth. Vers.; Sept. Χεῖρες Ἐν Τοῖς Τροχοῖς , Vulg. axes. (See Chariot).
