1. (Sept. Ἀμεσαί . ) A Levite, son of Bani, and father of Hilkiah, a descendant of Merari (1 Chrun. 6:46). B.C. long ante 1014. ‘
2. (Sept. Ἀμασί . ) :A priest, son of Zechariah, and father of Pelaiah, in the familjy of Adaiah ‘ ( Nehemiah 11:12). ‘ B.C. considerably ante 586.
