Miz´peh. This name has the same meaning and application as Mizpah, and is borne by several places mentioned in Scripture.

Mizpeh, 1

A town in the plains of Judah . Eusebius and Jerome identify it with a place which, in their time, bore the name of Mapha, on the borders of Eleutheropolis southward, on the road to Ælia or Jerusalem.
