Mach'benah. (Bond). Sheva, the father of Machbena, is named in the genealogical list of Judah as the offspring of Manchah, the concubine of Caleb ben-Hezron.  1 Chronicles 2:49.

(Heb. Makbena', מִכְבֵּנָא, something Bound on, perh. a Cloak; Sept. Μαχαβηνά v. r. Μαχαμηνά; Vulg. Maochbena ), apparently a place in the tribe of Judah founded by (a person of that name, the son of) Sheva ( 1 Chronicles 2:49), and probably situated in the vicinity of Gibeah, in connection with which it is mentioned. It is thought to have been the same with Cabbon ( Joshua 15:40).
