Eusebius, Onomasticon , knows the place but gives no clue to its identification. The site has not been recovered. Wellhausen suggests the emendation of nibhshān to kibhshān , "furnace" ( Proleg . 2 , 344).

Ναφλαζών ), a city in the wilderness of Judah, mentioned between Secacah and the "City of Salt" (Joshua 15:62). It is barely mentioned by Eusebius and Jerome (Onomast. s.v. Nephram). It is possibly the ruined site marked on Van de Velde's Mlap as Kasi el-Zeiman on Wady Hasaseh, which runs up from the Dead Sea not far N. of Ain-Jidy.
