Water-Spout

From BiblePortal Wikipedia

Water-Spout [1]

is the rendering, in the A.V. at  Psalms 42:7, of צַנּוֹר , Tsinnor (from צנר , a root of doubtful import), which Gesenius thinks a Cataract or watercourse ("gutter,"  2 Samuel 5:8), and First a pipe or conduit. Water-spouts, it seems, are actually seen on the Mediterranean (see Thomson, Land And Book, 2:256). (See Gutter).
