Turpentine Tree. Turpentine tree occurs only once, via. In the Apocrypha.  Sirach 24:16. It is the Pistacia terebinthus , terebinth tree, common in Palestine and the East. The terebinth occasionally grows to a large size. It belongs to the natural order Anacurdiaceas , the plants of which order, generally contain resinous secretions.
