teb - a - lı̄´a , te - bal´ya ( טבליהוּ , ṭebhalyāhū , "Yahweh hath dipped," i.e. "purified"; Codex Vaticanus Ταβλαί , Tablaı́ ; Codex Alexandrinus Ταβελίας , Tabelı́as ; Lucian, Ταβεήλ , Tabeḗl ): A M erarite gatekeeper. ( 1 Chronicles 26:11 ). The name should perhaps read טוביּהוּ , ṭōbhı̄yāhū , "Yahweh is good" (possibly from טוביהו , t - w - b - y - h - w misread טבל־ יהו , ṭebhalyāhū ). See Tobijah .
