Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [1]

Taches . An old word of French origin used by AV [Note: Authorized Version.] to render the Heb. qÄ•râsîm , which occurs only in P [Note: Priestly Narrative.] ’s description of the Tabernacle (  Exodus 26:6;   Exodus 26:11;   Exodus 26:33;   Exodus 35:11 etc.). The Gr. rendering denotes the rings set in eyelets at the edge of a sail for the ropes to pass through. The Heb. word evidently signifies some form of hook or clasp (so RV [Note: Revised Version.] ) like the Roman fibula .

Some form of fastening with which the curtains of the tabernacle and of the tent were coupled together, as is often done with a hook and a loop, so that they could be easily separated.  Exodus 26:6,11,33; etc.
