in Noised mythology, is the mighty ruler of Muspelheim, the implacable enemy of the asas, who, in the conflagration of the universe, will lead the amies of the sons of Muspel, join himself with the serpent Midgard and the wolf Fenris, assail the residences of the gods, besiege all the asas in a tremendous battle, and finally bring on the overthrow of the world.
