Stephen Greenleaf Bulfinch [1]
a Unitarian minister and poet, was born in Boston, Massachusetts, June 18, 1809. He graduated from Columbia College, Washington, D.C., in 1826, and from the Harvard Divinity School in 1830; served chiefly as pastor at Augusta, Maine, for the next seven years; afterwards preached and taught at Pittsburgh, Pa., and in Washington, D.C.; in 1845 became pastor at Nashua, N.H.; in 1852 at Dorchester, Massachusetts; and died at Cambridge, October 12, 1870.
