(1): ( n.) A sudden and violent ejection of air with an audible sound, chiefly through the nose.

(2): ( v. i.) To emit air, chiefly through the nose, audibly and violently, by a kind of involuntary convulsive force, occasioned by irritation of the inner membrane of the nose.

snēz ( זורר , zōrēr , Pō‛ēl - form זרר , zārar ): "The child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes" (  2 Kings 4:35 ). "Sneezing," better "snorting," is found in the description of Leviathan (the crocodile): "His sneezings (עטישׁה , ‛ăṭı̄shāh ) flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning" ( Job 41:18 (Hebrew 10)).
