1. Last named of six sons of Jahdai, of the tribe of Judah ( 1 Chronicles 2:47). B.C. prob. post 1612.

2. Third named of four sons of Maachah, concubine of Caleb, of the tribe of Judah; he was the "fathers" (i.e. founder) of Madmannah ( 1 Chronicles 2:49). B.C. post 1612.

(1) A son of Jahdai ( 1 Chronicles 2:47 ).

(2) The son of Maachah, a concubine of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel. Shaaph is called the "father," or founder, of the city Madmannah ( 1 Chronicles 2:48 f).
