Samuel Macclintock [1]
a Congregational minister, was born May 1, 1732, at Medford, Mass.; graduated at Princeton in 1751, and in 1756 was ordained pastor in Greenland, N. H., where he labored until his death, April 27, 1804, excepting only the Revolutionary period, when he acted as chaplain. He was a participant in the battle of Bunker Hill, and figures prominently in Trumbull's picture of that great event.
