( Σαβάτ , v.r. in Esdr. Σαφάτ and Σαφάγ ), the Graecized form of three names in the Apocrypha.
1. The head of one of the families of "Solomon's servants" who returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel, according to 1 Esdras 5:34; but the Heb. lists ( Ezra 2:57; Nehemiah 7:59) have no corresponding name.
2. The Jewish month SHEBAT (See Shebat) (q.v.) ( 1 Maccabees 16:14).
