Peter Eyckens [1]

an eminent Flemish historical painter, was born at Antwerp in 1599, and was chosen director of the academy at Antwerp. His principal works in that city are, The Last Supper, in the Church of St. Andrew; St. Catherine Disputing with the Pagans, in the cathedral; and St. John Preaching in the Wilderness, in the Church of the Convent called Bogaerde.
