Or Downham Downame George [1]
a learned English divine, was born at Chester (of which diocese his father was bishop), studied at Cambridge, and was elected fellow of Christ College in 1585. He was afterwards professor of logic, and was finally made bishop of Derry in 1616. He died in 1634.
