Mushi . A son of Merari (  Exodus 6:19 ,   Numbers 3:20 ,   1 Chronicles 6:19; 1Ch 6:47;   1 Chronicles 23:21;   1 Chronicles 23:23;   1 Chronicles 24:26;   1 Chronicles 24:30 ). The patronymic Mushites occurs in   Numbers 3:33;   Numbers 26:58 . See Merari, 1 .

Mushi', מוּשַׁי , once [ 1 Chronicles 6:19] מֻשַׁי , Receding; Sept. ῾Ομουσεί , Μουσίμ , Ο᾿Μουσί ), the second of the two sons of Merari, son of Levi ( Exodus 6:19;  Numbers 3:20;  1 Chronicles 6:19;  1 Chronicles 6:47;  1 Chronicles 23:21;  1 Chronicles 24:26); he had three sons ( 1 Chronicles 23:23;  1 Chronicles 24:30), whose descendants were called in common MUSHITES ( Numbers 3:33;  Numbers 26:58).
