(Heb. Mispar', מַסְפָּר , Number, as often'; Sept. Μασφάρ ), one of the leading Israelites who accompanied Zerubbabel on the return from Babylon ( Ezra 1:2), in the parallel passage ( Nehemiah 7:7) called by the equivalent name Mispereth. BC 536.
