Martin Benson [1]
an English prelate, was born in Herefordshire in 1689. He became prebendary of Salisbury in 1720, archdeacon of Berks in 1721, prebendary of Durham in 1723, and bishop of Gloucester in 1734, and died Aug. 30, 1752.
