Louis Bulteau [1]

a French writer, was born at Rouen in 1625. Having filled the office of secretary to the king for fourteen years, he retired into the abbey of Jumiges, in Normandy, and thence to the abbey of St. Germain des Pres, in Paris. He died in Paris, April 13, 1693, leaving Defense des Sentiments de Lactance sur l'Usure (1671): - Essai de l'Histoire Monastique d'Orient (1680) :-L'Ordre de Saint-Benoit d'Occident (1684), and some minor works.
