Laurent Blondel [1]

a French ascetic writer and hagiographer, was born in Paris in 1671. He had a vast knowledge of books of all kinds. After devoting himself for several years to the education of the children of Chaillot, he had charge of the printing-office at Desprez. He died at Evreux, July 25, 1740. He wrote, Vies des Saints pour chaque Jour de l'Annlee Tirees des Auteurs Originaux (Paris, 1722): Epitres et Evangiles. des Dimanches, des Fites, etc., avec des Courtes Explications et Pratiques (ibid. 1736): I.dees de la Perfection Chretienne (ibid. 1727).
