another Spanish divine, was born at Medina del Campo in the 16th century, and has frequently been confounded with the preceding. He belonged to the Order of the Jesuits, and published Historia maravillosa de S. Juan- Baptista (Salamanca, 1574, 4to): — La Monarquia Ecclesiastica, o Historia Universal del Mundo (ibid. 1588, 14 vols. fol.; Barcelona, 1594, 1620); Agricultura Christiana que contiene 35, dialogos familiares (ibid. 1589, 2 vols. fol.).
