Baptista (Bautista), Jose
a Mexican theologian, lived in the latter half of the 16th century. He belonged to the Order of St. Francis, was keeper of the convent of Letzuca, and taught theology. He wrote, Informationes Confessariorum in India vel America: De Casibus Conscientice circa Confessiones Occurrentibus: — Placitas Morales de los Indios.: — De Misenria et Brevitate Vitce.
