Joidanus [1]
( Ι᾿Ωαδάνος , Vulg. Joadeus ), one of the priests, "sons of Jesus, the son of Josedec, and his brethren," who had married foreign wives after the exile ( 1 Esdras 9:19); apparently the same as Gedaliah in the corresponding Hebrew text ( Ezra 10:18) by a corruption (see Burrington, Genealogies , 1, 167).
