John Chedworth [1]
a bishop in England in the reign of Henry VI, was a native of Gloucestershire, and educated at King's College, Cambridge. He was third provost of the same college for six years; elected bishop of Lincoln, and, with bishop Wainfleet of Winchester, was, at the instance of Henry VI, on a commission to regulate the statutes of Et'n and King's colleges.
