Johann Valentin Jirsik [1]
a Roman Catholic prelate of Bohemia, was born June 19, 1798. In 1881 he was made bishop of Budweis, in Bohemia, and died February 23, 1883. He is the author of Populare Dogmatik oder Glaubenslehre der katholischen Kirche. edited by B. Schon (4th ed.
