Johann Heinrich Lysius [1]

a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born June 29, 1704, at Konigsberg, Prussia. He studied at Halle, was in 1726 professor of Oriental languages at his native place, in 1730 doctor of theology, and died May 29, 1745. He wrote, Dissert. II de Historia et Usu Linguae Syriace: De Silentio Sacrae Scripture: De Commodo Christi Jugo ad  Matthew 11:30 : De Christo Homine Ἀναμαρτήτῳ Ex  1 John 3:5 : De Angelo Nativitatis Christi Praecone.
