a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born April 27, 1686. He studied at Leipsic, and commenced his academical career there in 1715. In 1731 he was professor of Hebrew, in 1732 doctor of divinity, in 1740 professor of theology, and died December 6, 1756, leaving, De Βάκχοις Ad Illustr.
