( Ι᾿Εσσουέ v.r. Ι᾿Ησουέ and Ι᾿Ησοῦς ,  1 Esdras 5:26), or Je'su ( Ι᾿Ησοῦς ,  1 Esdras 8:63), corrupt forms (see  Ezra 2:40;  Ezra 8:33) of the name of JESHUA (See Jeshua) (q.v.).
