a French priest of the Oratory, and brother of Esprit Jean (de Rome d'Ardene), was born at Marseilles in 1689, and gained several academical prizes for his, poetical essays. He Became superior of the college of his congregation. The last half of his life was passed at Sisteron, where he died, Dec. 5, 1769.
