James F. Blackman [1]
a Baptist minister, was born in Louisiana in 1828. He was brought up to the business of a printer and publisher. He preached for several years most acceptably and with success in the Ouachita region, in his native state. His death took place Dec. 11, 1874. See Cathcart, Baptist Encyclopcedia, p. 104. (J. C.
