James Cooke [1]

an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Gloucester in 1800. He was early converted, entered the ministry in 1822, and died January 22, 1854. Kind and sympathetic, constant as a friend, his views of Christianity were lofty and comprehensive, his perceptions quick, and his judgments discriminating.
