a Congregational minister, was born at Pawlet, Vt., June 9, 1820. He graduated from Middlebury College in 1844, and gave himself to teaching for four years. He then began the study of theology at Union Theological Seminary, and after one year went to Auburn Theological Seminary, where he graduated in 1851. He was ordained a minister in the Congregational Church March 9, 1853, was pastor of a Church at East Poultney, Vt., for one year, and died at that place May 6, 1854. See Genesis Cat. of Union Theol.
