"within, inward," is used adjectivally in Romans 7:22 , "(the) inward (man);" 2 Corinthians 4:16 , with "man" expressed in the preceding clause, but not repeated in the original, "(our) inward (man)" (some mss. have esothen, "from within"); Ephesians 3:16 , Rv, "(the) inward (man)" (Av, "inner"). is used in Luke 11:39 , as a noun with the article, "part" being understood, "(your) inward part;" in Matthew 7:15 it has its normal use as an adverb, "inwardly." See Within.
