( Ι᾿Δουῆλος ), the second named of the leading Jews sent by Ezra to procure the aid of the priests in the return from exile ( 1 Esdras 8:43); evidently the ARIEL (See Ariel) (q.v.) of the Hebrew text ( Ezra 8:16).
