hen´a - dad ( חנדד , ḥēnādhādh , "favor of Hadad"; Septuagint Ἡναάδ , Hēnaád ; Ἡναδάδ , Hēnadád ; Ἡναδάβ , Hēnadáb ; Ἡναλάβ , Hēnaláb ( Ezra 3:9; Nehemiah 3:18 , Nehemiah 3:24; Nehemiah 10:9 )): One of the heads of the Levites in the post-exilic community.

(Heb. Chenadad', חֵנָדָד , probably for הָדָד חֵן favor of Hadad; Sept. ᾿Ηναδάδ ), a Levite whose sons were active in the enterprises of the restoration after the captivity ( Ezra 3:9); two of the latter, Bavai and Binnui, are named ( Nehemiah 3:18; Nehemiah 3:24; Nehemiah 10:9). B.C. ante 535.
