Gustav Leopold Plitt [1]
a noted Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born March 27, 1836, at Genin, near Lubeck. He studied at Erlangen and Berlin, and commenced his theological career at the former place in 1862. In 1866 he was made professor, and in 1872 doctor of theology. He died September 10, 1880.
