Guillaume Coustou The Younger [1]

a French sculptor, son and scholar of the foregoing, was born at Paris in 1716. Having carried off the grand prize of the Academy, he went to Italy with the royal pension. In 1742 he was elected an academician, in 1746 was appointed professor of sculpture, and the king named him keeper of the sculptures in the Louvre. He died at Paris, July 13, 1777. See Hoefer, Nouv.
