Giovanni Francesco Cassana [1]
an Italian painter, was born at Genoa in 1611, and studied under Strozzi. He passed some time at the archduke's court in Mirandola, where he painted a picture of St. Girolamo, in the dome of the church, besides other creditable pictures. He died in 1691, See Spooner, Biog.
