Gilbert Of Holland [1]
flourished A.D. 1200, a scholar and divine, took his name from a district in Lincolnshire. He was invited by St. Bernard to live with him at Clairvaux, became his scholar, continued Bernard's sermons, writing forty-six in a style scarcely discernible from Bernard's.
