George Pelham [1]

an English prelate, youngest son of the earl of Chichester, was born October 13, 1766. He studied at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge; was appointed prebend of Chichester Cathedral in 1790, bishop of Bristol in 1803, translated to Exeter in 1807, and to the bishopric of Lincoln in 1820. He was also clerk of the closet to the king and canon residentiary of Chichester. He died in May, 1827.
