George M. Crawford [1]
a Presbyterian minister, was born in Abingdon County, Virginia, June 4, 1796. He was licensed and ordained by the Abingdon Presbytery in 1822, and preached for six years in Virginia and Kentucky. In 1839 he joined the Lexington Presbytery, Missouri, and labored for some time as a missionary in that state with great zeal and ability. He died June 4, 1858. See Wilson, Presb. Hist.
